She was 84 and a native of Gullett. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at St. Helena Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Interment in Sharkey Cemetery, Amite. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Charles S. Madden, Waco, Texas; two sisters, Adele D. Dyer, Amite and Margaret D. Gill, Amite; two grandchildren and a spouse, Christopher D. and Wendy R. Madden, Richardson, Texas, and Elissa E. Madden, Waco; a great-granddaughter, Ashley Dawn Madden, Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Frederick R. Eichel; a sister, Vera Schwebel; and parents, Thomas Garfield Dykes and Allie Jones Dykes. ********************************************************************************
