She was 91 and a native of Plaquemine Point. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Geralyn E. and Thomas W. Ashley of Denham Springs; three grandchildren, Thomas W. Ashley, Jr. and wife Tammy of Denham Springs, Randall K. Ashley and wife Tracy of Baton Rouge and Dolly Ashley of Hammond; sister-in-law, Lillian Lea Vincent of Denham Springs; niece, Mary V. Hughes and her late husband Laney Joe of Denham Springs; nephew, Sammy Vincent and wife Betsy of Naples, FL; nephew, Hardie Elisar and wife Marie of Slidell; seven greatgrandchildren; seven greatgreat-grandchildren; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton J. Elisar; brother, Peter Joseph Vincent; mother, Lucille Stablier Vincent; and father, Sam Vinci. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs and a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Her family wishes to thank Clarity Hospice and the many loyal family, friends and sitters who have assisted in her care over the past several years. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5 pm until 8 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, April 2, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 865 Hatchell Ln., Denham Springs, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, celebrated by the Rev. Frank M. Uter.
