She passed away at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 49. Regina was a life long resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age at Little Rock Baptist Church in Slaughter, Louisiana, by the late Reverend Mitchell. Regina was a graduate of Scotlandville Senior High School, in the year of May 21, 1980. While attending Scotlandville Senior High School, Regina was involved in different activities, from being a member of the Political Science Club to participating in the Marching Band and being a Platoon Leader in the JROTC Program. After graduating from high school, Regina retained degrees from the American College of Nursing, The Electro- Mechanical Training Program at the Office of Women Service,Camelot Career College School of Retailing, Merchandising and Culinary Arts and Carpentry at Baton Rouge Vocational College. Regina attended Louisiana State University to continue to further her studies in Computer Science. She also trained with the Acadian Ambulance services and received her license as an Emergency Medical Technician at Louisiana Technical College. Regina continued to pursue her educational background in the Office of Public Health Continuing Education Program, at Louisiana State University for Child Psychology. As a great educational leader and believer, she expanded her studies in the field of a Social Worker at Baton Rouge Community College. She leaves to cherish in her memories, a twin brother Reginald Ellison, a younger set of twin brothers and sisters- Tyrie and Sherrie Ellison, two sisters, Meta Ellison and Tonya Ellison-Jolla, one brother- in-law, Derius Jolla Jr. One niece, Tiera Ellison and one nephew, Tasharvis Ellison alongside one aunt Bethener "Tina" Ellison, all from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A great-aunt, Essie Jones and a great-uncle Albert Jones of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Regina was proceeded in death by her mother, Mertha Mae Ellison, grand-parents, Steve and Lyinell Ellison, two aunts, Helen Ruth Ellison and Olivia Ellison-Jones, two uncles Chauncey T. Ellison and Nathan Ellison, including a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Regina has four devoted friends, Janet Jackson, Mack Chews, Wilbert Jones and Harry Porter Sr. Services will be held at Little Rock Baptist Church, 401 East Avenue, Slaughter, on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Southern Memorial Gardens, 3012 Blount Road. ************************************************************************* Obituary published in The Advocate (Baton Rouge) on: 3/13/2011 ELLISON, TYLER RICHMOND He was the building director of St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. Tyler died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 52. Tyler attended Jesuit High School in New Orleans and was one of their National Merit Scholars. He graduated from Tara High School in Baton Rouge, where he had moved to in 1975. He attended LSU for several years and was in the LSU Tiger Band. Visitation at St. James Episcopal Church on Monday, March 14, from 10 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at noon, conducted by the Rev. Mark Holland and the Rev. Maryann Garrett. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. He will be cremated, according to his wishes. Tyler is survived by his mother, Jane M. Ellison, of Baton Rouge; sister, Cherie Ellison Miestchovich Lewis, of Baton Rouge; family friend, Donny Short; brother, Stephen Paul Ellison and wife Christine Ellison, of Ponchatoula; nephew, Ryan Miestchovich and wife Jill; great-nephew, Parker; nephew, Ray Miestchovich and wife Catherine; great-niece, Aydyn; nephew, Kirk Manso; niece, Stephanie Manso and her fiancˇ, J.Q. Dick; great-nephew, Conrad Manso; and several aunts and cousins. Thanks to Dr. William Boedefeld, Dr. Paul Garrett, Dr. Denzil Moraes, Dr. Jeff Moonan and all the nurses in the cardiac unit at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Our deepest appreciation to the Rev. Mark Holland and the Rev.
