ELZEY, HOLLIS
Kentwood - Visitation will be today at Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, from 
5 to 9 p.m. for Hollis Elzey, 76, who died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003.  The Rev. 
Lee Allen Pounds will conduct the funeral Saturday at Sweet Home Baptist Church, 
Kentwood, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include 
his wife, Mary Lee Elzey of Kentwood; three sons, Hollis Elzey Jr. of Zachary, 
Percy Elzey of Angie and Robert Carter of Kentwood; two daughters, Janice 
Williams of Osyka, Miss., and Alberta James Sr. of Kentwood; five sisters, Flo 
Hookfin of Kentwood, Janice Perry of Marshall, Texas, Katie Alexander and Lee 
Vester Hookfin, both of San Francisco and Lillie Elzey of Oakland, Calif.; 20 
grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Curtis Elzey and Otis Elzey Jr.; 
one sister, Alice Gordon; and two daughters, Margaret Ann Elzey and Mercedes 
Elzey.
