Fred was a former resident of St. Louis, Missouri, and the owner and operator of Emmendorfer's Service Station for over 50 years. Dear Father to: Wendy Johns-Lauderdale. Brother to: Dorothy Schwartze and the late Al Emmendorfer. Dear Grandfather to: Lauren Burnthall, Lindsey Johns, Catherine Johns, and Timmy Johns. Dear Uncle: Rick Haberstroh, Lisa Hillenbrand, Bart Haberstroh, Reed Haberstroh, Pat Stein and the late Steve Schwartze. Preceded in Death by his wife: Ernestine Emmendorfer. Step-daughter: Mary Hamilton. Step-Grandchildren and great-grandchild: Paul Davis Hamilton II, Laurell Hamilton, Brittany Vaughan, Alexandria Cross. Fred Served in the United States Navel Reserve. Fred loved his family, his many customers over the years, and his friends at the Habitat Shop and the Columbia Theatre where he was a volunteer. He is remembered for his whit, kindness, and especially for sharing mints with everyone, "just to make their day a little brighter". Visitation at 9:00 a.m., mass at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Burial immediately following at Noiox Creek Cemetary, Louisiana, Missouri A Celebration of Fred's life will be held on Saturday, March 6, 11:00 a.m. 18016 Ashton Drive, Hammond.
