She was born on Monday, May 9, 1927, in and native of Scott County, Mississippi, daughter of the late Clark Edwards and the late Maude Edwards Hastings. Mrs. Emmons was a member of French Corner Baptist Church . Surviving are her husband, Louin Pat Emmons and 3 daughter & son-in-law, Linda and James Kelly, Patsy and Norman Guedry, Debbie and Robert Landry; son & daughter-in-law, Danny and Julie Emmons; sister, Wanda Hastings; 6 grandchildren, Don Kelly, Melissa Lusco, Gawain Guedry, Holly Kessler, Tiffany Thompson and Bryan Landry; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers Joe, Billy and Bobby Edwards. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery. He was born on Wednesday, February 28, 1923, in Scott County, Mississippi, son of the late Robert Lee and Elsie Lee Williams Emmons and has never met a stranger since. Mr. Emmons was a Deacon at the French Corner Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, Louisiana and was a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Emmons also rose to the rank of Sgt. during World War II. Surviving are his 3 daughters & sons-in-law Linda Jean & James Kelly, Patsy Ann & Norman Guedry and Debbie K. & Robert Landry; son & daughter-in-law Danny Pat & Julie Emmons; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife, Audie Emmons, brother, Earl Emmons and sister, Elsie Sue McNair. Friends will be received Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until services begin at 2:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula.
