A resident of Independence, he died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at Methodist North Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. He was 79 and a native of Chicago. Visitation was at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Visitation at the funeral home, 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence. Survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Milton R. and Lynda Erickson, Covington, Tenn.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa Erickson and Gary Stewart, Covington, Tenn., Samuel and Robin Erickson, San Diego, Calif., Rebecca Erickson, Rachel Erickson and Milton R. Erickson II, all of Covington, Tenn.; and two great- grandchildren, Miranda Erickson and Paige Erickson, both of San Diego.
