She was born on Monday, July 31, 1922 in Bogalusa, LA. Mrs. Ernst was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. Surviving are her brother, James Fiasconaro and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Michelet Fiasconaro; husband, Lester Ernst; 3 sisters, Sister Frances Fiasconaro, SLW; Claire Rhody and Doris Focrster. Breaux; daughter of Virginia Pecararo Macheca and the late Tony Macheca; sister of Frances M. Mariano; grandmother of Lela McIntosh, and Jonathan, Christopher and Shelly Johnston; and mother-in-law of Stephen Breaux and Michael Johnston. She was a native of New Orleans and resided in Pumpkin Center for the past five years. She was a retired employee of Whitney National Bank.
