ETHEREDGE, EARNEST EARL 
Earnest Earl Etheredge, 63, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at North Oaks Medical 
Center in Hammond. Etheredge retired from the US Army as a Sgt. First Class. He 
was a native of Texas and a resident of Hammond. Survivors include his wife, 
Linda; three sons, Gene Etheredge of Trenton, N.J.; Richard and Jack Etheredge of 
Slidell; a brother, Ronals Etheredge of Evans, Ga.; a sister, Ann Van Syckle, of 
Dallas; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin 
Earl and Lavada Juanita Abney Etheredge. Geisler Funeral Home is in charge of 
arrangements.
