WILLIAM I. The Rev. William "Bill" Eubanks, 77, died Friday, June 10, 2011. He was a native of Shreveport and a graduate of Perkins School of Theology. He retired as a Methodist minister after 40 years service in 2000 and served the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in Hammond for 11 years. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jane Newton Eubanks; two sons, James David and Charles Newton Eubanks; daughter, Carol Bradbourne; eight grandchildren, great-granddaughter; and sister, Nancy Hanes. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Jane Eubanks LeBlanc; parents, Andrea Jesse and Ina Galbraith Eubanks; sister and three brothers. Visitation at First United Methodist Church, Hammond, Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. until a memorial and celebration of his life at 11 a.m. The Rev. Joe Donakey, the Rev. Bill Blakely, of United Methodist, and the Rev. Vance Moore, regional minister of the Christian Church, will be officiating. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or First Christian Church Mission projects or a favorite charity.
