He won many honors during his years as a cowboy, including third place at the Bayer Ward Select National Cutting Horse Championship. He was an active member of Ebeneezer Baptist Church. God, church, and prayer were an important part of his life. He was a member of the False River Lionšs Club and the Friday Menšs Breakfast Group in Hammond. Bobby survived two bouts with throat cancer and three heart attacks in the last two years, and although he spent the last few months of his life without a voice, his love for life and for those around him were never more apparent than in the precious last days that God allowed us to have him.
