She was born on Tuesday, November 7, 1916, in Hungary, Anna migrated to the United States in 1949. Surviving are son & daughter-in-law, Joey and Jackie Farkas, daughter & son-in-law, Anna and Thurrell McClendon, daughters, Helen Farkas and Irene Farkas, grandson, Josephus Earl Hutcheson Jr. She is preceded in death by husband, Jim Farkas, parents, Margaret and John Libart, sister, Margaret, brothers, John and Zolton. Friends will be received Monday, January 30, 2012 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Hammond. Services will be held at Funeral Home Chapel - Hammond, Monday, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Hammond, Louisiana. He is survived by his uncle, Robert Caston and his wife; aunt, Wilda Farkas and several cousins, including the extended Farkas family in Albany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen DeGray. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home west of Hammond, Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 2:00 p.m. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home chapel beginning at 12:00 noon until the funeral service time. He was a native and resident of Springfield. Survivors include his wife, Menda Adams Farkas, Springfield; daughters Barbara Ann Davis of Springfield and Lynda Ann Andrews of Pumpkin Center; his son, Mitchell Leon Farkas, Pumpkin Center; his mother and stepfather, Doris Norred Stewart and Bobby Stewart; four sisters, Dorothy Mitchell of Killian Jane Griffin and Pat Hayes, both of Natalbany, and Faye McAllister, Bogalusa; his brother, Jackie McAllister, Bogalusa; and seven grandchildren. His father, Mitchell Farkas, preceded him in death. Visitation was held Saturday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond. Visitation continues today after 8 a.m. and until the service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jake Roudkouski will conduct the service.
