Born November 14, 1955 in Metairie, LA, Mr. Favors was raised in the New Orleans area and has lived in the Lake Charles/Sulphur area for the past thirty years. He was a 1973 graduate of St. John Vianney Catholic High School and received his ADN Nursing degree from McNeese State University. He had a passion to help others; working as an RN at Moss Regional Hospital. Mr. Favors attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and Lake Charles Bible Church. A wonderful, kind and patient man, he enjoyed cooking and was a devoted husband and father. Mr. Favors is survived by his wife of five years, Linda W. Favors; son, Andre Favors, both of Sulphur; step-children, Stephanie LaFleur-Boorman and husband Kyle of Los Angeles, CA, Stephen LaFleur and wife Cyndi of San Antonio, TX, and Monet LaFleur of Dallas, TX; mother, Lorraine Favors of Ponchatoula, LA; sister, Jeanne Daniel and husband David; brother, Jeff Favors; nephew, Michael Mazzella, all of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Trey and Gabrielle LaFleur; along with numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Favors and brother, Kevin Favors. His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Don Barrett and Deacon Bud Wagner will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery . Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
