He was 87 years old, born Friday, Feb. 15, 1918, in Tickfaw, the son of the late Joseph Fedele and the late Josephine Perise Fedele. He was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church. He was a strawberry farmer earlier in his life, then later worked as a plumber for the Hammond Development Center. Surviving are his wife, Mary Addie Stewart Fedele; six daughters, Jo Marie Goudeau of Hammond, Virginia Dragland of Baton Rouge, Terry Fedele of Tickfaw, Susan Fedele of The Woodlands, Texas, Toni Leigh Fedele of Tickfaw, and Wanda Knight of Albany; son, David Bennett of Albany; a sister, Josephine DiMaggio of Hammond; six grandsons, Brett Gillespie of Oklahoma City, Lennie Giovingo of Metairie, Frankie Giovingo of Madisonville, Randy Chapman of Albany, Jay Chapman of Tickfaw, and Michael Knight of Albany; six grand- daughters, Erin Garvin of Oklahoma City, Tammy Fletcher of Tickfaw, Kandyce Roberts of Albany, and Kyndal Bennett and Brittany and Blair Knight, all of Albany; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
