FEKETY, JAMES  "JAMIE"
A resident of Hammond, James, 40, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009,
as a result of an accident. Although he loved his family, his passion was
working as a professional flooring mechanic. Survived by his father, James
Charles Fekety; mother, Ruby Elaine Everett; and grandmother, Patsy
Everett. James is also survived by his spouse, Shawn Smith, and her
children, John, Baillio, Miah and John; along with two granddaughters and
numerous extended family members. Preceding James in death were his
grandfather, Joseph M. Everett; and sister, LuWana Denise Fekety. Relatives
and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon
G. Thompson Funeral Home, west of Hammond, on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Woodhaven Church of God, Natalbany, on
Sunday, Aug. 9, from 1 p.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., officiated by
the Rev. Larry Moak. Interment in Natalbany Cemetery. Condolences and other
