FERNANDEZ, BELLA LEBLANC
A retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Belle Rose with 21 years
of service, she died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Assumption
Community Hospital, Napoleonville. She was 91, a resident of Belle Rose and
a native of Brusle Olivier. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville,
on Tuesday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at
St. Jules Catholic Church, Belle Rose, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev.
Jason Labbé, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. She is survived
by a daughter and son-in-law, Sophie and Jan P. Bergeron, Napoleonville;
son and two daughters-in-law, Taylor and Carol Fernandez, Hammond, and
Alice Faye Fernandez, Plattenville; nine grandchildren, 14 great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her
husband, Felix C. Fernandez Sr.; son, Felix "Fats" Fernandez Jr.; parents,
Hermine Richard LeBlanc and Emile LeBlanc; four sisters, Leoncia, Sonol and
Margie LeBlanc and Emelie Hourcade; and three brothers, Leonce, Taylor and
Richard LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Troy Bergeron, Scott Fernandez, Chris
Fernandez, Dale Fernandez, Emile LeBlanc and Michael Waguespack. Honorary
pallbearers are Jan P. Bergeron Jr. and David Bergeron. She was a
parishioner of St. Jules Church for all her married life and a member of
the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Ladies Altar Society. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to St. Jules Catholic Church, Belle Rose, LA
70341.
