He was 48, a resident of Hammond and a native of Independence. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Albert Catholic Church, Hammond, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Sean O. Sheehy. Interment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery. Survived by three sisters, Mary Ferrante Schillace, Hammond; Virginia Ferrante Bates, Baton Rouge, and Annie Ferrante Lloyd, Albany; a brother, Louis Ferrante, Memphis, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
