Mrs. Ferrara passed peacefully into eternal life on Friday, March 23, 2007, at her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Her strong character and genuineness of spirit will live on in the lives and memories of those who survived her. They include: three daughters, Pamela Manchack and Janet DiGiovanni of Independence, LA and Charlotte Ferrara of Kiln, MS; two sons, Charles Ferrara, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and Michael Ferrara of Ponchatoula, LA; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with one on the way; a sister, Irene Bryant of St. Francisville, LA and two brothers, Homer and James Gill of Independence. Mrs. Ferrara was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ferrara; parents, Lee and Wilda Cutrer Gill; two sisters, Evelyn Pearl Gill and Agnes Gill Adams; and two brothers, Roy and Carl Gill. Mrs. Ferrara will be remembered for her dedication to her family as well as her authenticity that will never be duplicated. The family received relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until Bro.
