FERRIS, ELIZABETH MITCHELL
Slidell - Elizabeth "Betty" Mitchell Ferris, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, 
at North Shore Living Center, Slidell. She was a native of Alexandria and former 
resident of Ponchatoula. She was the operator of Ferris' Beauty Salon and Merle 
Norman Cosmetic Studio in Hammond. She is survived by two daughters, Judy F. 
Guthans of Pearl River and Jackie F. Oram of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren 
and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly 
Ferris; one daughter, Evelyn McCain; her parents, James and Bessie Elledge 
Mitchell; and two brothers, William and Raymond Mitchell. A memorial service 
will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 433 Erlanger St., 
Slidell. Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge.
