She was a native of Thomasville, Ga., and a homemaker. She is survived by one stepdaughter, Denise Fields-Macom of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Ella Gorman of Hammond, Doretha Hammond Jacob of Dallas and Coludia Mae Hammond-Ross of Houston; one brother, Sumpter Hammond; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Berry and Merenvia Hammond, and a son, Richard "Dimples" Fields. Sumpter Hammond, will conduct the funeral Sunday at Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church at 7 p.m. Dismissal will be Monday at 11 a.m., and burial will be in Holly Gardens Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Hammond, is in charge. *************************************************************************
