Mr. Fleshman was a 1982 graduate of LSU in civil engineering, a drum major of the Broadmoor High School Marching Band and a lettered athlete with the LSU track team. From 1982 to 1988, Mr. Fleshman served in the Louisiana National Guard as a construction engineer officer, executive officer and commanding officer of Company D, 769th Engineer Battalion. He was also a member of the Society of American Military Civil Engineers. Immediately after graduation, he began a lifetime career with Insituform Technologies. Mr. Fleshman is survived by his wife, Glenda Sanders Fleshman, Hammond; stepson, Travis Van Neste and wife Carol, Wayzata, Minn.; grandson, Colin, of Wayzata; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis W. Fleshman, of Baton Rouge; brother, Roger Fleshman and wife Emily; sister-in-law, Nina Broyles Fleshman; nieces, Grace Fleshman and Elizabeth Ann Fleshman; and nephews, David Clayton Fleshman, Stephen Sanches, Dr. Steven Hart and Christopher Reed Hart. He is also survived by his uncle, Edwin Old, of Crewe, Va. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Edwin W. Fleshman; and sister, Mildred Ethel "Mimi" Fleshman Sanches. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jeff Day. Interment in Young Family Cemetery, Port Hudson.
