He is survived by his current wife, Jocelyn; three daughters from his marriage to his deceased wife, Irene Marie Stockwell; and a brother, Carol and wife Margaret Webb Fletcher, of Baton Rouge. The daughters and their families are Rene Fletcher, of Ponchatoula, Suzanne and husband Robert Fletcher Zeng, of Owasso, Okla., and Karen and husband Steven Fletcher Braverman, of Davie. He is also survived by grandchildren, Casey Stockwell Zeng, Nicholas Robert Zeng, Victoria Irene Braverman and Brian Fletcher Braverman. Louis was the son of Augusta Pippin and George Archie Fletcher. He was born in Hammond and was raised both there and in Baton Rouge with his five brothers and sisters, Grace, Lois, Lucille, Carol W. and Robert. He and his wife, Irene, moved to the South Florida area in the 1960s. They also lived in the Bahamas for five years before returning to Miami. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a graduate of LSU, receiving a bachelor of science in business administration and an MBA. Funeral services will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Oct. 23. In his honor an oak tree will be planted on the campus of LSU.
