Born June 6, 1929, in New York City. Surviving are husband, together for over 60 years, Frank Edwin Folks Jr., son & daughter-in-law, Larry J. and Pam Folks, daughter & son- in-law, Linda A. and Leo Mulkey Sr., son & companion, Gary A. and Angie Shapiro Folks, daughter & son-in-law, Rhonda F. and David Pritchett Sr., daughter, Pam Trice, sister, Martha Miller, grandchildren, Shelly Mulkey, Brandy Bardy, Erika P. (Robbie) Smith, David Pritchett Jr., Daniel and Rachel Trice, Leo Mulkey Jr., Frank Mulkey, Troy (Kate) Mulkey, Teresa Harville, Kellie Mulkey and Jared Folks, great-grandchildren, John Eric Perrilloux, Leo III, Megan, Frank Jr., Lexus, Caleb and Katelyn Mulkey, Ashley Storey and Amanda Boyel, Breanna Davis and Aliya and Ali niece and her husband, Lorraine Miller and Abe Melzer, great aunt of , Jesse (Alanna) Miller-Dillon. She is preceded in death by parents, Bessie and Louis Rutkin, grandchild, David Folks, great-grandchild, Christopher Perrilloux. A native of New York City, where she met the love of her life, Frank, a Coast Guard seaman stationed at Staten Island. She married and traveled with her husband, and eventually settled in Louisiana (her husbandŐs birth place) to raise five children. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who was loved by all. Her gentle spirit, bright green eyes, and sense of humor will be missed. She was the light of our lives and is at peace with her Lord and Savior. Friends will be received Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. Services will be held at Funeral Home Chapel - Ponchatoula, Wednesday, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Leo Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
