Services for Frank Joseph Fredrick, Sr., who died Friday, were held Saturday from the Thomas Funeral Home; interment was in Mitchell Cemetery, east of Ponchatoula. He was born June 19, 1886 in Ponchatoula and for the past 24 years had made his home east of Hammond. Four years ago he retired from the Louisiana Department of Highways, where he worked for 22 years as a blacksmith. He died last Friday at the home of his son, Casphor A. Fredrick, in Hammond. He is survived by his wife, the former Maud Norton; four sons, Casphor A. and Roy L. of Hammond, Troy W. of Wierton, W.V., and Frank Joseph, Jr. of Tokyo, Japan; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Ray of Belen, N. Mex.; two brothers, John A. and Henry C. Fredrick of Hammond; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Davis of Hammond, Mrs. Barbara Holden and Mrs. Catherine Gregoire of Ponchatoula. Funeral services were held Monday from Thomas Funeral Home for Henry C. Fredrick, Sr., 64, who passed away Saturday at Bogalusa hospital. Interment was in Ponchatoula cemetery. He was born in Ponchatoula, but spent most of his life in Hammond. About a year ago he left to make his home with daughter, Mrs. Alma Motichek of Madisonville. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alma Moticheck and Mrs. Estelle Motichek, both of Madisonville; one son, Henry Fredrick, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Davis of Hammond, Mrs. Barbara Holden, and Mrs. Cahterine Gregoire of Ponchatoula; two grandsons, Albert Motichek, Jr. and Nolan Edward Moticheck. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Vindicator: 6/29/1951 FREDRICK, JOHN A.
