He was 92 and a native of Chicago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and attended Soule Business College and Tulane University. He was an accountant in New Orleans and retired to Husser, where he loved to square dance, bowl and work in his yard. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, on Friday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Religious service at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Husser, at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Paul McDuffie. Entombment in St. Dominic Mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Husser Freiwald, Husser; sister, Carol Duncan, Valparaiso, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Louise Freiwald; brother, Jean Freiwald; and sister, Evelyn Meigs.
