He was 75, a native of Hampton, N.J., and a resident of Amite. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Amite Lions Club. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 p.m. Thursday until religious service at 8 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Walter Heine. Survived by his wife, Dolores Z. Fritts, Amite; a daughter, Laurie F. Battalora, Amite; a son, Robert Eric Fritts, Baton Rouge; a sister, Elizabeth May Smith, Asbury, N.J.; three grandchildren, Lindsey Battalora, Eric Battalora and Tanner Fritts; two step- grandchildren, Kristi Hughes and Joni Battalora; and three stepgreat-grand- children, Hailey, Macey and Kobey Hughes.
