She was a native of Roseland, having been born there on Sept. 15, 1911. Mrs. Frohn was the wife of the late Charles Edward Frohn Sr., a former mayor of Roseland. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grand- mother and great-grandmother to her family. Visitation was at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2001. Visitation at the Amite Church of Christ, 301 E. Mulberry St., Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2001. Services will be conducted by Brother Kenneth Istre, pastor of the Shiloh Church of Christ and Brother Luther Stanford III, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg. Interment will be in the Arcola-Roseland Cemetery in Arcola. Mrs. Frohn is survived by one daughter, Jo Ellen Frohn Carruth and husband Daryl R. Carruth of Greensburg; and three sons, Robert H. Frohn and wife Jennie R. Frohn of Amite, William A. Frohn and wife Nancy B. Frohn of Jackson, Miss., and Richard E. Frohn and wife Debra K. Frohn of McComb, Miss. She is survived by six grandchildren, Alison Frohn Field and husband Richard B. Field of Amite, Dr. William Eric Frohn of Orlando, Fla., Daryl Dwayne Carruth and wife Trina of Baton Rouge, Charles Daniel Carruth and wife Donelle of Greensburg, Melissa Frohn Starrett and husband Josh of Murrell's Inlet, S.C., and Jessie Richard Frohn of Jackson, Miss. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, Christopher Paul Bordelon, April Field, Richard H. Field of Amite, Nicholas Ray Carruth and Shelton Eric Carruth of Greensburg, Grey Cameron Carruth, Cameron Allyse Carruth of Baton Rouge and Sarah Ashton Frohn of Memphis, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs Frohn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Frohn Sr.; her son, Charles E. Frohn Jr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Samson McNabb; five sisters, Alma McNabb Case, Nelsie McNabb Bigner, Lorena McNabb McCraney, Grace McNabb McClendon and Margaret McNabb Sanders; and five brothers, Hiram McNabb, Glenn McNabb, Alton McNabb, Benton McNabb and Wilton McNabb. She was an active member of Order of the Eastern Star, Camellia Chapter, in Amite, where she served as worthy matron twice and district deputy. She was town clerk for the town of Roseland until her retirement. She was a member of Amite Church of Christ for more than 71 years. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jesse Richard Frohn, Daryl Dwayne Carruth, Charles Daniel Carruth and Dr. Eric Frohn, and nephews, Benjy McNabb and David Frohn. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandsons, Christopher Bordelon, Richard Field, Nicholas Carruth, Shelton Carruth and Grey Cameron Carruth.
