He was born in New Orleans. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Guess Frost; children, Rebecca Bridger Frost, Chole Lockett Frost, Matthew Bishop Frost and Mathilde Nelson Frost; and one brother, John "Pete" Meigs Frost. He was preceded in death by his father, Burgess Murray Frost; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Guess. The funeral was today at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Causeway Blvd., Metairie 70001. ******************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star on: 7/30/2003 FROST, THERESA DEAN GUESS Lafitte - Theresa Dean Guess Frost, 86, died Sunday, July 27, 2003, at her home. A native of Kentwood, she graduated from Hammond High School in 1934 and from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1937. She taught primary grades in Tangipahoa Parish schools and was associated with St. Martins Episcopal School in Metairie for more than 25 years. She was an active member of St. Philips Church in Algiers where she was a lay reader. She is survived by one son, John "Pete" Meigs Frost of Independence; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess Murray Frost; one son, Murray Frost II; her parents, Margaret Dean Broyles Guess and John Eitel Guess; two sisters, Emily Guess Myrick and Fay Kent Guess Trowe; and one brother, John E. Guess Jr. Visitation will be Friday at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, Hammond, from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Jefferson Home Health Hospice, 1743 Stumpf Blvd., Gretna, 70056.
