Merlyn leaves behind his daughter, Michele Courville and husband Sean; son, Mike Fuller and wife Danielle, along with grandchildren, Amber Fuller, Samuel McKeand, Taylor Fuller, Michael Fuller and John Eric Watts; great-grandchild, Matthew Bychurch. He is also survived by his sisters, Pearl and Tilda; brother, Roy, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Merlyn in death was his wife, JoAnn Brasseaux. For everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the heavens. In that season there is a time to be born. So the season of life began for Merlyn Forte Fuller on Sept. 28, 1925, in New Orleans, to Winston Sr. and Albertine Forte. She died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at the Imperial Manor Convalesce Center, Madison, Tenn. In the learning season, Merlyn received her early education in the Orleans Parish school system. She moved to Baton Rouge to live with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lemon Burton. Merlyn graduated from McKinley High School and received her bachelor's degree from Southern University in the area of business. She was employed in the music department as a secretary to Tourgee Debois. She held the position until her retirement in 1956. Merlyn was married to Raymond T. Fuller Sr. To this union one son and three daughters were born. At an early age, Merlyn was baptized in the Methodist faith at St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in New Orleans. The memory of Merlyn F. Fuller will be warmly cherished by daughters, Sherrian F. Carter and Cynthia F. Jones, both of Nashville, Tenn., and Theda F. Kittrell, of Ponchatoula; son, Raymond T. Fuller Jr., and wife Melissa, of LaPlata, Md.; sister, Margery H. Cotton, of Ashbury, Va.; brother, Wendall W. Forte and wife Mary, of Hyattsville, Md.; five granddaughters and two grandsons, Christina and Michael Kittrell, of Ponchatoula, Kelsie and Katlyn Carter and Carl Jones Jr., all of Nashville, Colby Stringer and Madison Fuller, both of LaPlata; sister-in-law, Inez Geohegan, of Baton Rouge; and devoted cousin, Gwendolyn West and husband Robert, of Baton Rouge.
