FUTRELL, LESLIE MURIEL
A native of Independence, she died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at her residence near 
Montpelier. She was 20. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 6 p.m. 
to 10 p.m. Thursday. Visitation at Montpelier Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until 
religious services at 11 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Eric Williams. 
Interment in Montpelier Cemetery, Montpelier. Survived by her parents, Mike and 
Remonia Futrell, Montpelier; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura Futrell and 
Stephen Lee, Independence; a niece, McKayla Lee, Independence; and maternal 
grandparents, Horace and Camille Rodriguez, Amite. Preceded in death by paternal 
grandparents, Dave and Muriel Futrell; and paternal great-grandmother, Marie 
King. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Montpelier Baptist 
Church, 2241 St. Helena Ave., Amite, LA 70422.

FUTRELL, MICHAEL DAVID 
Michael David Futrell was born on June 27, 1957, and passed away on Sunday, 
Nov. 9, 2008, at his residence in Montpelier. He was the son of the late 
William David and Muriel Yvonne Futrell. Mike was 51 and a native of New 
Orleans. Mike is survived by his wife, Remonia R. Futrell, Montpelier; 
daughter, Laura Futrell Lee and husband Stephen, Wilmer; sister, Marcie 
Futrell Thames and husband Timmy, Amite; brother, Mitch Futrell and wife 
Vickie, Montpelier; grandchildren, McKayla Lee and Mason Lee, both of 
Wilmer; and numerous extended family. Also preceded in death by a daughter, 
Leslie Muriel Futrell; and grandparents, Marie and Vernon King and Sara and 
Grover Futrell. Visitation at McKneely & Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on 
Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at Montpelier Baptist 
Church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m., with 
the Rev. Darryl Miller and the Rev. Rusty Durand officiating.  Interment 
in Montpelier Cemetery. An online guestbook is available at
