GAETA, ANGELO S.
A resident of Amite, he died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Lallie Kemp 
Regional Medical Center, Independence. He was 56 and a native of Independence. 
Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday. 
Religious services at St. Helena Catholic Church at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, 
conducted by the Rev. Jack Nutter. Entombment in Rose Memorial Mausoleum, 
Hammond. Survived by a son, Vincent Anthony Gaeta, Williamsburg, Va.; parents, 
Vincent F. and Pamela LaRocca Gaeta, Amite; two sisters, Mary Gaeta Melvin, 
Amite, and Geri Gaeta Mayeaux, Hammond; two brothers, Joseph Vincent Gaeta, 
Amite, and John Christopher Gaeta, Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

GAETA, PAMELA LaROCCA
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all, passed 
from this life on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Landmark Nursing Center in 
Hammond. She was born September 6, 1922 in Roseland and was 89 years of 
age. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Mary G. Melvin, Amite and Geri G. 
Mayeaux and husband, Kenny, Hammond; 2 sons, Joe V. Gaeta, Sr. and wife, 
Frances, Amite and John C. Gaeta and wife, Mary, Albany; 9 grandchildren, 
Pam Falconello and husband, Freddie, Sam Hutchinson and wife, Shaunie, 
Wayland Wall, Jr., Kristie Blades and fiance, Bryan, Kenny Mayeaux, Jr., 
Vincent Gaeta, Tammy Campo and husband, Frank, Stephanie Campo and husband, 
Tony, and J. V. Gaeta and wife, Mary Jo; 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded 
in death by her husband, Vincent Gaeta; son, Angelo Gaeta; grandson, 
Brandon Mayeaux; son-in-law, O. B. Melvin, Sr.; sister, Sarah LaMarca; 3 
brothers, Dominick, Louis and Nick LaRocca; 4 step-brothers, Pasquale, Joe, 
Tony and Red LaMarca; She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church where 
she started the St. Joseph's Altar and was a member of the Rosary Altar 
Society. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 11 a.m. until 
1:40 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012. Religious Services at St. Helena 
Catholic Church, Amite, at 2 p.m. on Monday. Services conducted by Fr. Mark

GAETA, VINCENT FRANK 
A resident and native of Amite, he died at 4:40 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2006,
at Lallie Kemp Medical Center, Independence. He was 89. Visitation at St.
Helena Catholic Church, Amite, on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until religious
service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Joe Camilleri. Interment in
Rose Memorial Park, Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Pamela LaRocca
Gaeta, Amite; two daughters, Mary G. Melvin, Amite, and Geri G. Mayeaux,
Hammond; two sons, Joe V. Gaeta Sr., Amite, and John C. Gaeta, Albany; nine
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Distefano,
Independence, Rose Costanza, Hammond, and Mary Schmitt, Harahan; and two
brothers, Joe Schillage, Amite, and Frank Schillage, Dallas. Preceded in
death by his son, Angelo Gaeta; grandson, Brandon Mayeaux; two brothers,
Tony Gaeta and Mike Gaeta; and parents, Angelo Gaeta and Catherine Gaeta
Schillage. He was a lifelong member of St. Helena Catholic Church and a
