She was a native of Tickfaw. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Lamonte and David Gagliano Sr.; two daughters, Judy Mohamed and Maria Rivet; her mother, Mary Restivo; her brothers and sisters, Sannie Latino, Tony Lamonte, Mary Ann Bonfiglio, Fannie Mae Hutchinson, Vickie Glascock and Phine Vilardo; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter James Gagliano; her sons, Alphonse Gagliano; her father, Joseph Lamonte; and her brother, Joseph Lamonte. Visitation will be Friday at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, from 6 to 10 p.m. A funeral Mass will at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church. A resident of Hammond, he died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at his residence. He was 71 and a native of Independence. He is survived by his wife, Grace Pumilia Gagliano of Hammond; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Gagliano Blazevich of Hammond and Stacey Gagliano Parker of Baton Rouge; two sons, Nick Anthony Gagliano Jr. and Joseph Michael Gagliano, both of Hammond; seven grandchildren, Stephen Parker, Marc Parker, Brent Blazevich, Laine Blazevich, Danielle Gagliano, Rochelle Gagliano and Nicholas Joseph Gagliano; and two paternal aunts, Lena Gagliano Martinez and Josie Gagliano Costa. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Denova Gagliano; parents, Joseph M. and Rose Piazza Gagliano; and an infant brother. He started the North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology with Dr. R.E.L. Stewart in the early 1960s and was also an instructor at the school. He was a charter member of Krewe of Omega Mardi Gras association, was one of eight original members of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists, was president of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists in 1972 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, JFK Council 2952. *************************************************************************** Obituary published in The Hammond Daily Star: 3/27/2010 GAGLIANO, ROCHELLE TENISE GIBSON Rochelle Tenise Gibson Gagliano, "Chelle Baby," 19, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, at University Hospital in New Orleans from injuries sustained in a car accident. Rochelle was born May 25, 1990, in Winter Park, Fla. She was a classical studies major at Loyola University. Rochelle was incredibly beautiful with a smile that made you feel like you were the only person in the room. Her spirit was warm and loving and she went through her life with unwavering curiosity, kindness and compassion. She was fascinated by nature and she loved being outdoors and loved animals of all shapes and size. She collected rocks, feathers, leaves, bugs, bottle caps and anything she could treasure as a memento of her journey. She was beautiful in every way that a single human being could possibly be. Rochelle is survived by her mother, Dana Davenport Gagliano, father, Nick Anthony Gagliano Jr., sister, Danielle Gibson Gagliano, and brother, Nicolos Joseph Gagliano, all of Hammond; grandparents, Donald "Gene" and Carolyn Davenport, of Pearl River, Grace Pumulia Gagliano, of Hammond, and Blanch and George Gibson, of Ponchatoula; aunts, Vicki Gagliano Blazevich, of Hammond, Stacey Gagliano Parker, of Baton Rouge, Jeanne Braun, of Donaldsonville, and Linda Fielding, of Covington; uncles, Donnie Davenport, of Pearl River, and Joey Gagliano, of Hammond; and numerous cousins and many friends.
