He was 85, born on Thursday, Dec. 25, 1919, in New Orleans. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Josephine G. and Charles Ragusa, Independence; son and daughter-in-law, Frank Sam and JoAnn Galaforo, Hammond; brother, Joe Galaforo, McComb, Miss.; two granddaughters, Charlynn Liuzza and Tracy Ragusa, both of Independence; six grandsons, Charles Ragusa III and Jason Ragusa, both of Independence, Samuel Galaforo, Joseph Galaforo, Frank Galaforo Jr. and Christopher Galaforo, all of Hammond; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucy Musacchia Galaforo; parents, Frank and Josephine Pecararo Galaforo; brother, Mike Galaforo; and sisters, Sarah Magnicheri, Lena Valenti, Annie Cangelosi and Mary Galaforo. Friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Religious service at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Tickfaw, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery, Tickfaw.
