SR. Amite - Willie S. Gallet Sr., 83, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 in Mandeville. He was a native of Montegut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired machinist of Avondale Shipyard. He is survived by his wife, Syble D. Gallet of Amite; four daughters, Juanita Gallet-Paysse of New Orleans, Melinda Ann Gallet of Amite, Syble E. Gallet-Gaudet of Mandeville and Kathleen Ella Gallet of Bridge City; four sons, Leander Daniel Gallet of St. Francisville, Willie S. Gallet, Jr. of Harvey, Carl Wayne Gallet of Bridge City and Richard Ronald Gallet of New Orleans; two sisters, Leana G. DelCambre of Plaquemine and Thelma G. Migues of New Iberia; seven grandchildren and three great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by two sons, Dariel Dale Gallet and Nicholas Olin Gallet; a sister, Lucy G. Lebouef; five brothers, Sidney, Adam, Gilbert, Manuel and Irvin Gallet. Visitation will be Wednesday at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, from 6 to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 until 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be at 11 at at St. Maurice Church in New Orleans. Burial will be at St. Louis No. 3 in New Orleans. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge of local arrangements. ********************************************************************************
