Gary was born October 18, 1960. Survivors include his wife, Christine Shircliff Galofaro; 1 daughter, Meghan Elizabeth Galofaro; 1 son, Gary Michael Galofaro; mother, Katie Domino Galofaro; 2 brothers, Joe Galofaro and wife, Susan; Steve Galofaro and wife, Rose. He is preceded in death by his father, Marion "Mike" Galofaro and a sister, Rosie Galofaro Iverstine. Friends were received Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church in Tickfaw from 9:00 AM until Religious Services began at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Colonial Cemetery, Independence. "JOE" A retired foreman with the Department of Transportation and Development and Tangipahoa Parish Police Jury, he died Saturday, April 15, 2000, at his home in Tickfaw. He was 73 and a native of Tickfaw. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Tickfaw, from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday. Entombment in Tickfaw Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Survived by a daughter, Nancy Coolman, Hammond; a son, Joseph "Joey" Galofaro, Hammond; three sisters, Rosemary Hughes, Tickfaw, and Annie Esnault and Mamie Pefferele, both of New Orleans; and four grand- children, Dana Monistere, Jessica Monistere, Brian Galofaro and Matthew Galofaro. Preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mike Galofaro; parents, Joseph and Rose Positery Galofaro; a brother, Mike Galofaro; and a sister, Sarah Falcon. He was a member of Knights of Columbus John F.
