Age 76 and a resident of Holden, Ernest passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. He was a member of the Albany Masonic Lodge #466 and also served as an Assistant Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America from 1965-1969. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lonnie V. Gann; two daughters and son-in-law, Myra Cashio, Patricia Miller and husband George; two sons and daughter-in-law, Edwin Gann, Percy Gann and wife Penny along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His sister Cheryl Moore and husband Ray also survive him. His parents, Percy and Thelma Gann; a grandson, Dustin Gann; brother, Houston Gann and step- father, Edgar Allen preceded him in death. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 12012 Hwy.190 West, Hammond, La. 70403 on Friday, November 7th at 2:30 p.m. The family request visiting hours be observed from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral service time. Rev. Danny Carter will officiate the religious service and interment will be in Holly Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Brandon G. He was a native of Evanston , Indiana ; a construction worker; and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Jill Ann Love Gann; son, David Gann; and 4 daughters, Kathy Lents, Stephanie Dorman; Heather Gann and Samantha Gann. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Gann and parents, Henry K. and Margrette Epley Gann.
