He is survived by his wife, Techia Picone Gaubert; his parents, Karen Virginia Banks and Roy J. Gaubert Jr.; his stepmother, Maria Gaubert; one daughter, Hannah Nicole Gaubert; and one brother, Warren Joseph Gaubert; and his paternal grand- mother, Lillian Gaubert. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ollie and Calvin Banks Sr.; and his paternal grandfather, Roy J. Gaubert Sr. The funeral was Monday at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey. A resident of Amite, he died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 78 and a native of Waggaman. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting was at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Monday. Religious services at St. Helena Catholic Church at noon Monday, conducted by the Rev. George Reynolds. Interment in Amite Memorial Gardens. Survived by beloved wife of 58 years, Lillian Argeron Gaubert, Amite; a daughter, Mildred Gaubert, Amite; five sons, Roy Gaubert Jr., Marrero, James Gaubert, Algiers, Lionel Gaubert, Ponchatoula, Daniel Gaubert, Algiers, and Melvin Gaubert Sr., Marrero; an adopted son, Allen Argeron Sr., Marrero; 12 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Irvin Gaubert, Marrero; and three sisters, Nora Hebert and Myrtle Winburger, both of Westwego, and Shirley Dufrene, Tylertown, Miss. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arsene Gaubert; two brothers, Eves Gaubert and Russell Gaubert; and two sisters, Esther Guillot and Hazel Cambre.
