He was 56 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Very Rev. Paul Bailey. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Craddock Gaudin; father, Alvin J. Gaudin; daughter, Ashley C. Gaudin; son, Kristopher "Keith" Gaudin; brother, Dr. David E. Gaudin; former wife, Linda C. Gaudin; and nephews, William "Scott" Gaudin and Jeffery "Stuart" Gaudin. He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Paul Gaudin; and grandparents, W.C. and Lucille Craddock and Alvin Gaudin Sr. and Odell Gaudin. Alvin J. Gaudin Jr., a retired employee of Exxon Chemical Co., died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 84, a native of Baton Rouge and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 63ä years, Geraldine "Jerry" Craddock Gaudin; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David and Beth Gaudin; four grandchildren, Keith, Scott, Ashley, and Stuart Gaudin; great-grandchild, Abigail Gaudin; step-granddaughter, April Saxton; three step-great-grandchildren, Zachary, Julie and Patrick; and brother, D.J. "Kajun Kid" Gaudin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Sr. and Odell Donaldson Gaudin; son, Alvin Wayne Gaudin; grandson, Joshua Gaudin; three brothers, Allen, Tom, and Leonard Gaudin; and sisters, Ruby Mut, and Doris Sylvest.
