He was an Albany native and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member of American Legion Post 0258 and Amvets Post 8. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nemeth Gaydos of Albany; two daughters, Janie Rottman and Dianne Lavigne, both of Ponchatoula; one son, Frank P. Gaydos of Hammond; a sister, Julia Prokop of Albany; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Gaydos; and a sister, Elizabeth Gaydos Laird. Visitation will be at St. Margaret Catholic Church Monday from 9 until the Rev. Leo Guillot conducts a Mass at 10. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. She was a native and resident of Albany. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14, 2006, from 8 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Interment in St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery. Survivors are a son, Frank P. Gaydos, Hammond; two daughters, Dianne Lavigne, Ponchatoula and Janie Rottmann, Ponchatoula; five sisters, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gaydos Sr., and one grandchild.
