GEBAUER, PRISCILLA FARRIS
Priscilla Farris Gebauer, of Pleasant Ridge, Hammond, La., passed away on 
June 8, 2012, at the age of 71, after a long battle with cancer. Prissy was 
a 1958 graduate of Southeastern High School and a 1962 graduate of SLU.
She is survived by her siblings, Louanna Farris Lunn of Lake Charles, 
Louisiana, Mary Farris Cornell of Tryon, North Carolina, and William H. 
Farris of Atlanta, Ga.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeannette 
Hambrick Farris and Robert O. Farris, and a brother Robert O. Farris, Jr. 
Prissy was retired from a long teaching career at Southeast Louisiana 
Hospital in Mandeville where she initiated innovative programs for her 
students. She was actively involved in numerous organizations, including 
the Special Olympics, the Humane Society, the National Therapeutic Riding 
Association, the Art Centers in Hammond, Ponchatoula and Amite, the Delta 
Society and Master Gardeners.  Friends will be received Tuesday, June 12, 
2012, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church in 
Hammond with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in 
Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond, La.  A guest book is available at
