GEOGHEGAN, BETTY LOUISE FLETCHER JONES 
A resident and native of Springfield, she died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004,
at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Visitation in
the funeral home chapel from 8 a.m. until service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Interment in Killian First Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by her
husband, Earl Geoghegan Jr., Springfield; three daughters, Betty Covington,
Springfield, Karen Schexnayder, Brusly, and Nancy Anderson, Springfield;
two sons, Lee Jones, Holden, and Michael Jones, Springfield; two stepsons,
Earl III and Eric Geoghegan, both of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, Joey
Castille, Cassie and Courtney Schexnayder, David and Amanda Crowson,
Zachary and Nikki Jones, Angela Covington, Hunter Anderson and Gina
Geoghegan; three brothers, Jimmy Fletcher, Springfield, Billy Fletcher,
Ponchatoula, and Richard Fletcher, Natalbany; and four sisters, Pat
Fletcher, Springfield, Sharon Perrin, Saluda, N.C., Kathleen Vittorio,
Independence, and Mary Adams, Denham Springs. She was preceded in death by
her mother, Earle Rose Vicknair Fletcher; father, A.H. Fletcher; and a
brother, Frederick Fletcher. "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is
coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and
come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who
practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
