GERALD, JOYCE AVIS
A wife and loving mother, she died at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002. She was 
72 and a native of Amite. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida 
Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday. Mass of 
Christian Burial at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, 
celebrated by the Rev. Tony Russo. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 
Survived by a daughter, Lynette Gerald Ammermann, Houston; four sons, Jeffrey 
Gerald and wife Denise, Gregory Gerald, Kevin Gerald and wife Crystal, and Ronald 
Gerald, all of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Adrienne McNabney and husband 
Pat, Butte, Mont., Michelle Riggs and husband Kelly, Houston, and Isaiah Gerald, 
Baton Rouge; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, 
Robert Gerald Jr. Pallbearers will be her sons, Jeffrey, Gregory, Kevin and 
Ronald Gerald and brothers-in-law, Norman and James Gerald.
