She was a fabric cutter for the former TG&Y stores in Baton Rouge and Hammond. She is survived by her daughter, Lois Wagner and her husband, Grady, of Albany; son, James O. "Jimmy" Germany Jr. and his wife, Sherrie, of Greenwell Springs; foster son, James Millikin and his wife, Rose, of Denham Springs; brothers, Daniel Grantham and his wife, Carolyn, of Graham, Texas, and George Grantham, of Effie; sisters, Julia Barton, Pleasant Hill, and Ruth Bonaventure, New Roads; six grandchildren and their spouses, James O. Germany III, and Christopher and Angela Germany, all of Baton Rouge, Tammy and Cory Clause, of Lafayette, Annette Wagner Weseman and Brian, of Irmo, S.C., Cindy Wagner McBane and Rod, of Pearland, Texas, and Michael and Jeanette Wagner, of Albany; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, James Orion Germany Sr.; parents, Joe Grantham and Martha "Mattie" Elizabeth Bauldree Grantham; brothers, Wiley Grantham, Joe Grantham and Jessie Grantham (her twin); and sisters, Mary Hillman, Bertha Cavalier and Ouida Mae Fourmeaux. Visitation at Geisler Funeral Home of Albany on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with religious service at 7 p.m. Graveside service will be held Monday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, LA GERMANY, PETE Pete, 77, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at his residence. He was a native and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama and current resident of Hammond. Pete served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a White House Signal Agent in Washington, D.C., having the privilege to work with President Dwight Eisenhower, President John F. Kennedy and President Lydon Johnson. Pete leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 54 years, Trudy Germany; children, Chuck Germany and wife Melinda, Tim Germany and wife Angela Ciampa, Jan Bain and husband Barry, along with his grandchildren, Jason Mike, William "Will" Germany, Susan Germany Goodwin and husband Trey, Joe Germany, Elizabeth Bain, Joshua Bain; great-grandchildren, Peyton Wells Germany, Kayelynn Angelle Germany, Novah Goodwin, Zoie Goodwin and Brody Goodwin.
