She was a devoted daughter and sister, a loving wife and mother, and a proud and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the secretary at St. Thomas More Catholic School for many years and retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Francis of Assisi 1915 and was a member of the auxiliary of the Grandsons of Italy. Visiting will be at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Michael Schatzle. Entombment will follow in St. George Mausoleum. She is survived by four children, Guice A. and Steve Giambrone, Carleen Goodson and Alice Madere; 11 grandchildren, Guice, Michael, Steven and Christopher Giambrone, Steven Andre and Arianna Giambrone, Jason, Jacob and Josh Goodson, and Max and Wes Madere; eight great-grandchildren, Joseph Giambrone, Mia, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas Goodson, Watts and Abigail Goodson, and Hunter Goodson; and a brother, John Migliore. Preceded in death by her husband, Guice A. Giambrone Sr.; grand- daughters, Angela Foy and Louise Madere; and her parents, Franceso Migliore, who was of Monreale; and Luigia DiPaolo, who was of Castelvetrano. Guice A. Giambrone Sr. of Baton Rouge died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002. He was 78 and a native of Independence. He served his country in World War II as a corporal in the U.S. Army Air, 9th Air Force, and received four battle stars and numerous medals of honor. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Monday. Interment in St. George Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. He was a parishioner of St. Jean Vianney Parish, past Grand Knight of Council 4030, 4th degree knight of Knights of Columbus, member of American Legion Nicholson Post 38, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Grandsons of Italy and American Italian Association, of which he served as past president.
