Fort Washington, Md. - Mable C. Gilbert, 74, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Fort Washington Hospital, Fort Washington, Md. She was a native of Baton Rouge. She is survived by four sons, Johnny Ray Gilbert of San Francisco, Raymond Louis Gilbert of Kentwood, Robert Earl and Larry Gilbert, both of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Bernidean Smith, Peggy Smith and Lotonia Marshall, all of Fort Washington, Md.; three sisters, Lillie Johnson of New Orleans, Lizzie Frazier and Minnie Harrell, both of Amite; one brother,Leroy Coleman of Amite; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Maggie Coleman; her husband, Freddie Gilbert; one daughter, Joy Evita Gilbert; and three sisters, Edna Baker, Caretha Frazier and Mildred Wilson. Visitation will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Harvest Time Fellowship in Baton Rouge until James J. Quillen conducts the funeral at noon. Burial will be in Winnfield Cemetery, Baton Rouge. Richardson Funeral Home, Amite, is in charge. ***************************************************************************
