GILCHRIST, LOIS ERWIN
Lois Erwin Gilchrist, 84, of Hammond, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, in
North Oaks Medical Center.  She was born July 7, 1922, in Stoney Point,
Louisiana, daughter of the late Jim and Emily Hunt Erwin.  Surviving are
four sons, Maurice Welsh, Mark Bickford, Steve Bickford, and Ronald Welsh;
four grandchildren, Maurice James Welsh, Michele Welsh, Tracy Bickford, and
Kristy Welsh; two great-grandchildren, Paula Nicole Welsh and Kymberlie
Welsh.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice F. Welsh,
second husband, Jesse Bickford, and third husband, Leo Gilchrist; two
sisters Callie Strahan and Beatrice Bankston; and seven brothers, Robert,
Dudley, Bill, Dick, Joe, Clyde, and Dallas Erwin.  Friends will be received
Thursday, October 26, 2006, at Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond from 6 PM
til 10 PM, and after 8 AM on Friday until the 11 AM Funeral Home Chapel
Service. Interment will follow in the Loranger Community Cemetery,
