GIOVINGO, FRANK GUY
Mr. Frank Guy Giovingo, 91 of Independence, passed away Saturday, August 
27, 2011, at Specialty Long Term Care Hospital in Hammond. He was born 
February 6, 1920, in Independence and was a retired carpenter and U.S. Army 
veteran.  Surviving are his son, Joseph Giovingo & wife Linda; daughter-in-
law, Virginia Fedele; grandchildren, Lennie & Laurie Giovingo, Frankie & 
Donna Giovingo, Joseph Giovingo, and Kristy & Alex Gerarve; sister, Ann 
Danna; and special nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his 
wife, Rose Costa Giovingo; parents, Leonard & Mary Lucido Giovingo; son, 
Leonard Giovingo, Sr.; brother, Frank Giovingo; 7 sisters, Nellie Gates, 
Rose Vaccaro, Lea Pendola, Mary Catalano, Jenny Giovingo, Lena Thomas, and 
Margaret Cuchiara.  Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2011, from 
9:00 am until 11:00 am at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.  A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 am Monday.
Entombment will follow in Colonial Cemetery Mausoleum.  An on-line guest

GIOVINGO, JOHNNY
Johnny Giovingo, age 58, died on December 18 at North Oaks Medical Center
in Hammond.  He was a native of Hammond.  Visitation at Geisler Funeral
Home of Hammond on Friday, December 22 after 10 a.m. until the religious
service at 2 p.m.  Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include one brother, Patrick Giovingo, Albany; three sisters,
Virginia Bordok and Josie Louka, both of Hammond; and Rosalie Gerald,
Holden.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Virginia
Schillage Giovingo; one sister, Mary Lulow; and four brothers, David, Joe,

GIOVINGO, JOSEPH
A resident of Denham Springs, he died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Our Lady
of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 58 and a native of
Independence. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 9 a.m. Friday
until religious services at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Terry Booth.
Interment in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery, Denham Springs. Survived by his
wife, Merlyine Giovingo; two daughters, Roxann Wunsch and Cheryl Bunch; a
son, Scotty Giovingo; three sisters, Rosalie Gerald, Virginia Bordock and
Josie Luke; four brothers, Sammy, Larry, Pat and Johnny Giovingo; and four
grandchildren, Kayla Wunsch, Tyler Wunsch, Gabrielle Bunch and Alex Bunch.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Virginia Giovingo; a brother,
David Giovingo; and a sister, Mary Lulow. He was a member of Amite Baptist
Church, 7100 Amite Church Road.

GIOVINGO, LEONARD FRANK
A resident and native of Independence, he died Friday, March 29, 2002, at
his home. He was 58. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, from noon Monday until religious services in the chapel at 2 p.m.
Entombment in Colonial Mausoleum, Independence. Survived by two sons, 
Frank Giovingo, Madisonville, and Leonard "Lennie" Giovingo Jr., Metairie;
two granddaughters, Olivia and Mia Giovingo, Metairie; a brother, Joseph
Giovingo, Independence; and his parents, Frank and Rose Costa Giovingo, 
Independence.
