Albany -- James W. "Bill" Gipson, 91, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2003. A native of Estelline, Texas, he was a member of the Lions Club of Mississippi and Texas; a member of Society For The Preservation And Encouragement Of Barber Shop Quartet Singing In America; Northshore Chorus; Columbia Payers; and a minister. Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Gipson of Albany; one son, William C. Gipson of Austin, Indiana; two daughters, Ruth Wallace of Albany, and Betsy Canfield of Braxton, Miss.; one brother, Norman Gipson of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Billie White of Cedar Hill, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Burial was today in Brookhaven, Miss., at Johnson Grove Church of Christ. Geisler Funeral Home, Hammond, was in charge. ***************************************************************************
