He was born January 22, 1948 in Jackson, Mississippi, son of the late Claude and Ruby Roberts Gladney. He was a member of Millwright's Local 1931, Baton Rouge, and a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. Surviving are his beloved wife, Mollie Gros Gladney and daughter and son-in-law, Kerri Gladney and James Bankston; grandson, Gavin Michael Bankston; mother-in-law, Viola Thibodeaux, and step father-in-law, Jimmy Thibodeaux. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Charles Gladney. Friends will be received Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Harry McKneely & Son in Ponchatoula from 6 pm til 10 p.m. and after 8 a.m. on Friday until the 11 a.m. Funeral Home Chapel Service, conducted by Rev. Deacon Larry Melancon. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454. A former resident of Ponchatoula, she is survived by her mother, Janie Honeycutt; a sister, Beth Harris; her daughter, Cathy Grinels; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
