Mrs. Goforth was 57, born Feb. 6, 1949, in New Orleans. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing and was employed with Ultra Home Health. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Goforth, Ponchatoula; sister, Susan Trosclair, Metairie; brother, Louis Mocklin, Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Chris Slaven, Jackson, Miss.; grandchildren, Brielle and Landon; son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Cory Bourgeois, Hammond; grandchildren, Hope, Hunter and Alanna; stepson, Chris and wife Meredith Goforth, Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Jessica, Emily and Christopher; and stepdaughter, Amiee Goforth, Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Anna Mocklin; and father, Louis Francis Mocklin. Visitation at Geisler Funeral Home in Ponchatoula on Friday, Nov. 3, from 4:30 p.m. until funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel. She was 83 and a native of St. Louis. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by Brother Ray Cragin. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Marian is survived by a son, Larry W. Goforth and fiancée Lettie Bowman; two grandchildren, Amiee and Christopher Goforth; and three great-grandchildren, Emily and Christopher Goforth and Jessica Benoski. Preceded in death by her husband, William L.
